Tambourines and Hoop Dreams: In the Park with RES

Last week participants in our Pleasant Hill program met at the park for a variety of activities.

One day featured basketball and a fun workout on the exercise equipment. Physical activities like these are a great way to stay active and healthy, and a good chance to enjoy fresh air and friendship too.

Other days included craft projects like these tambourines or puzzles worked as a group. Crafts, art, music, and other creative activities help encourage self-expression and are an important part of the time that we share together. They’re also a fun part of our day to enjoy!

Park meetups have been one part of remote alternative services throughout the pandemic. They’re one of the many fun ways that we continue to support people growing in independence even when our normal programs are interrupted.
