Big Improvements at the Pittsburg Program
This summer, we’ve been working on making some important improvements at our Pittsburg program.
We started by replacing fencing that was damaged by vandalism over the last few years. We went on to rebuild the railings around the upper deck in the front and fortify the railings in the back. And we replaced wood paneling and other exterior woodwork that has weathered and been damaged by the elements over the years.
Then we repainted the whole building, top to bottom. The paint seals the new repairs and protects the whole building from the sun and the elements.
All together, this work keeps our Pittsburg location safe and secure and gives it an attractive, welcoming face to show our community, our visitors, and — most importantly — the people who come to our Pittsburg program every day.
These improvements were made possible by grants and contributions from the Keller Canyon Mitigation Fund and Heritage Bank of Commerce and by donations from individuals in our community who share our commitment to providing excellent day programs for people with IDD.
