RES Success in Pleasant Hill is Open and Running!

After years of work, RES Success is open at our Pleasant Hill location!

We were overjoyed to open the new location for our day program in Pleasant Hill and to welcome back the wonderful people we support who have waited so long for this program!

Over the course of several weeks last month, we invited people to visit and return to the program in this exciting new space in small groups. This let everyone adjust to the new environment and adjust to the day program context.

Since the pandemic started in 2020, our Pleasant Hill program has been limited to remote alternative services, meeting online and in public spaces. We were limited first by the COVID-19 threat to our community, and then by the loss of our former site and the challenges involved in preparing a new location that meets the most current codes — all during a time when costs were skyrocketing, help was hard to find, and materials were in short supply.

We are so proud of our staff who provided such terrific and creative alternative services throughout this process, and of our team and community partners who worked so diligently to bring about our re-opening days.

You can read more about everything that went into this project on our Pleasant Hill Safety Project page here.

Now our Pleasant Hill program is having a great time visiting our community, engaging in social activities together, making artistic and crafting projects, and learning about all kinds of things in our new computer lab and all around the new site!

We could not be more excited about the conclusion of this project, and we are so grateful for all the people in our community who helped us make this vision a reality.

At RES, we are so grateful for the supportive community of families and individuals who donated and stood with us to make this project possible.

Support for this project came from more than 100 individuals and organizations, including:

contributions from Heritage Bank of Commerce

the employees and board of Hellman & Friedman

and a very special grant from the

Dean and Margaret Lesher Foundation.
