RES Celebrates Ribbon-Cutting and Open-House Events

We had a terrific ribbon-cutting ceremony and an open-house event to celebrate the end of construction at our new Pleasant Hill location on December 02 and 03. It was a great time to preview our building for the people we serve and for the people who support and encourage us in our community.

Our good friend Melanie cut the ribbon for this event. Like a lot of people, Melanie has been eager for the program to reopen, and she has been diligently calling and encouraging us throughout the renovation process!

The work still isn’t finished, but it was a great day to celebrate the end of construction and to share it with others before the holiday season got too busy!

Since then, we’ve cleaned and sanitized the air ductwork, clearing out both germs and construction dust, and inspections and licensing are moving forward!

This week, A Plus Tree made us beautiful custom benches for our garden area. We have a volunteer who is making planter boxes for this area as well. Now we can sit under the redwood trees and enjoy our growing, living world!

If you would like to help us furnish and prepare our Pleasant Hill program for re-opening, visit our donation page here for more options.
